Hi, I'm Skylar.

Scientist, teacher, and the person in your student's corner.

Before I taught science and math, I lived it. I earned a master's studying climate change, doing research with Antarctic ice cores and fieldwork high in the Peruvian Andes. That work taught me how to break overwhelming problems into clear, manageable steps, which turns out to be exactly what most students need.

I went on to earn a master's in teaching and have spent years working with middle and high schoolers, including at a school built for student-athletes juggling demanding schedules. I know how to meet a busy student where they are, build their confidence, and help the material finally click.

Basecamp is named for a reason. I'm not the summit. Your student is. My job is to be the place they gear up, build skills, and launch from, all the way to the top.
